The new community called ASEAN JAPAN Cybersecurity Community Alliance (AJCCA)

The International Conference on ASEAN-Japan Cybersecurity Community (IC-AJCC) 2023 in Tokyo was a landmark event in the field of cybersecurity, bringing together government key officials, experts, participants, and exhibitors from ASEAN member states and Japan and being the first to focus on strengthening cybersecurity communities in the region.

The primary goal of this seminar was to foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and networking among cybersecurity communities in the region and how the cybersecurity communities play an important role in supporting each government in making cyberspace safer and more secure in ASEAN and Japan.

8 associations of Southeast Asian Nations members and Japan agreed to a private sector cybersecurity collaboration, with 50 years of ASEAN-Japan friendship and cooperation.

The new community called ASEAN JAPAN Cybersecurity Community Alliance (AJCCA) was established. After the signing, the secretariat asked each representative to give a vote in selecting their new first chair for the Alliance. As a result, Indonesia was chosen as the first chair of the new Alliance. The chair term will be two years.
